Job Information

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a full-time position within our Marketing Department. This position is responsible for creating and executing the team’s email marketing, basic graphic design, social media, copy writing, video content, and more. The role requires someone who is self-motivated and detailed-oriented with an innovative attitude and can balance several tasks to help enhance our digital marketing platforms as a vital communication tool for our customers. Having an understanding or having previous marketing experience within the military and Veterans demographic is a plus.
This position will report to the Senior Marketing Specialist and the candidate will adhere to the team’s brand strategy and guidelines when developing content for all digital platforms and assisting in the management of assigned digital media responsibilities.

Locations: San Diego Area/ Chula Vista, CA

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week). May require additional hours, evenings, and/or weekend work. This is an on-site position.

Pay Range: $23 – $25 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to deliver key business goals through web and graphic content(including graphic design, digital marketing promotions, lead generation efforts, optimizing web pages for conversions, and generating marketing-qualified leads), digital marketing, and internal communications.
  • Create and support campaigns executed through marketing platforms with multichannel tactics, including emails, SMS, social, and other digital channels.
  • Write and edit content for multichannel distribution, including website, email, print, social, digital signage, video and more. Produce relevant content that adheres to brand standards and messaging guidelines and can utilize our AI content development tools. Content develop includes some of the following:
  • Produce and develop email communication design and content, tracking and follow up reporting in SendGrid.
  • Produce content for social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Graphic Design – Use Adobe creative suite or Canva to generate digital banner ads and imagery aligned with brand style guidelines.
  • Copy Writing – Write preliminary website, social and email marketing content to promote brand awareness and calls to action that aligns with customer values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working directly for a brand or within an agency.
  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and can organize and schedule work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and externally.
  • Ability to work both independently and the desire to learn more as we grow.
  • Ability to multitask and re-prioritize assignments appropriately, while maintaining an ability to juggle numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Photography or video experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred.
  • Immersed in social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and others)
  • Strong visual eye for social media graphics, photography, videos, copy, etc.
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices and social platforms
  • Intense passion for helping us grow digital marketing aspects of the business.
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • A proactive attitude and strong time management skills delivering to meet deadlines.
  • Solutions oriented approach to work and possesses a strong willingness to venture into the unknown, experiment, and work collaboratively.
  • Customer services skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SendGrid, Canva, Jasper AI, Adobe, and other digital marketing platforms.
  • A degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design, preferred but not required.
  • Veterans and Military experience are also welcome.
  • An understanding of military culture and language, vocabulary and jargon used to market to Veterans a bonus.
