Job Description

  • Employment – Full-time (40 hours per week). May require additional hours, evenings, and/or weekend work.
  • Job Location – Remote
  • Compensation – $15 per hour + bonus

The Employee will review all documentation in clients’ files which include but not limited to Medical Records, Service Treatment Records (“STR”), Personal Assessment Questionnaires (“PAQ”), Rating Decision Letters (“RDL”), and CRM profile. Medical Transcriptionist (MT) will be responsible for reviewing documents uploaded to clients’ CRM profile in order to transcribe the relevant and necessary information found on the documents above to the Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ). MT must understand the rating criteria put in place by the VA that is found on the eCFR Title 38 Part 4. MT’s must be able to meet minimum production requirements put in place by GTM.


The candidate may be required to perform, but not limited to, the following:

  • Technical writing, transcribing, and medical record review.
  • Read, understand, and transcribe medical information from a client questionnaire to a proper VA form.
  • Prepare pre-filled documents for medical evaluations.
  • Understand VA regulations on service-connected disabilities.
  • Review files and medical evidence to project new disability rating calculations.
  • Update CRM statuses and lead profile actions.
  • Tracking data in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Communicate with third-party contractors and vendors.
  • Phone work
  • This position is subject to “other duties as assigned” by the Company or its officials.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 2+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and company CRM.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proofreading skills
  • Able to work independently at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation to work.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods.
  • Must be adaptable and be willing to take constructive criticism.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
